A RANDOMISED CLINICAL TRIAL USING DIFFERENT TURNING INTERVALS
AS PREVENTION OF PRESSURE ULCERS
The aim was to assess how patient turning frequency and the use of pressure relieving mattresses affect the development of pressure ulcers. The TEMPUR-MED mattress withstands a 50 % error margin in turning frequency without serious tissue damaged being caused to the patient.
